Vehicles "protection"

Postby Fallencido » Sat Apr 09, 2016 9:03 am

I know that this is a game about consequences but will try to give this idea anyway.

I"v been in a situation that:

1 was transporting clay in my wagon.
2 player (newly spawned) runned into wagon
3 got back to my claim that unfortunatly was on the limit of the walls and gates were closed.
4 he stays there just waiting for me to open the gate and steal the wagon :(

As i'm just a hermit and do not build my way up to rage yet i could do nothing as an stranger jumped in my wagon and just had to kill my pattience to get it from me while i was riding it.

*Maybe an "u cant enter and ocupied vehicle" would solve problem for ppl without thiev or trespassing ? (Best)

*Or let us to operate simple things as gates from the wagons (not very good)

* allow only party members to ride your vehicle, but make it so the player is still vulnerable to pvp while inside (maybe let them ride the vehicle only after ir had aggroed its target)

Really Really sorry for my english

When someone is on your claim you don't need rage to attack

I know that, but in my case the claim wasnt bigger than the walls... so i was suposed to lose the vehicle because i was careless (dumb)

My point is that in a situation where you own a vehicle and neither you or the thief can be harmful to each other
There is no point on him being able to ride vehicles while they're being used by you.

Are you aware that with current siege system, wall not covered by claim is almost useless if people who want to raid you can build battering ram?

I'v already extended claim 4~5 tiles arround walls for that, but despite the claim, its really odd letting a newly spawned player jump in your vehicle tough...

If he had taken it by night because i forgot it outside, it would be fine.

But needing to get on a claim to beat down a little guy who jumps in the vehicle (or get rage for this only reason) seens a little weird, you were on your wagon afterall.

why not carry a rope with you when you use a wagon?

wagon is like the most risky you can be as a single guy, i think using roads would be less risk cause wagon can't get away from stuff like someone on a horse

Yeah, i think you are right, a rope would have solved this problem xD but is really boring let unnwanted players that cant harm you jump in the vehicle anyway.
