With the same reasoning you could ask to remove the study option from rock crystals...

o.o The difference with studying though is it's not too late to take them out of study if you change your mind on them. With eating it's final. I doubt your character is capable of throwing up things recently eaten. :lol:

At the very least, the study option should be the first option, instead of the second, as with other curio afaik. I've eaten my both my weird beetroots from w8 and w9 because I'm used to pressing 1 to study everything (and spam the key before the flower menu is usable).
