Steel pickaxe for improved / better mining?

Was wondering about a potential late-game pickaxe of some sort, being expensive but useful. Could improve the speed in a more significant way of mining, or potentially increase amount of ore that comes out of the wall. Been mining for too long and I just want to be holding something fancy.
