Odd idea

Don't know if this has been suggested before or anything so please correct me if it has. Cannibalism is my idea, and hopefully that doesn't offend anyone or anything, but if it does, shoot the idea down, heavens know it's easy to get offended in 2016. Back to the point, I feel like it would add to the feeling of doing everything it takes to survive, even if it is gruesome. Hope to see some feedback on this idea soon.

Jorb had discussed this in the old forum around world 4 or 5. The concern was that players would harvest alts for meat and that prospect horrified him.

It would horrify me, too - breeding alts for the sake of avoiding anything like gameplay.

Dang. Alt abusers ruining possible additions. Sucks. As for diseases, I think there should be some sort of punishment, less than death though. Maybe no going to heaven area if you've eaten someone? Stat debuffs maybe. Anyways, thanks for the quick feedback.

Would that not be the easiest abuse of an alt possible? One dunk into the water, cross a boar or bear too many times, and you've got free food!

Although I strongly despise reimplementation of old features, another way to bring in the "everything it takes to survive" concept is to allow us to eat roots and raw meat again, on HHP damage, like w7. Now we have entrails and that's even better for the caveman/desperate survivalist feel.

And the HHP damage would be due to food poisoning, I suspect?

In response to this, I think there should be some restrictions. Perhaps eating meat from one of your other characters or someone you've memorized/kinned would instantly kill you. (Endocannibalism causes kuru for sure, not sure about exocannibalism though) I think this would be a nice balance and a way of making it slightly more realistic.

Sounds wonderful. I'd also like to thank everyone for such quick feedback on my first post(I think).
