Feeding Clover from horseback

Is there any good reason why we cant feed clover to animals from a horseback? Everytime i do this the animal "kisses" my horse and forgets to eat my clover until it loses all interest, and since iam an idiot and forget that all the time, it keeps happening

I've done it plenty of times too, even from a boat once while I spotted a mouflon on the shallows before remembering it just bounces in to the hit box. Agree that it's annoying but not sure much can be done about it.

It can be a bad idea to feed the animal treats to an another animal while riding some another animal. The riding animal will try to eat the treat itself, no? You do not want to foster this jealousy.

Animal cannot reach the boat clover from the shore. The boat gets in his way. Clearly.
