One ting that really irritates me is sitting around waiting for SHP to heal. My current way to do this is to have the character logged in standing in the corner for an hour or two, I would love for there to be an actual method of healing.
Every single time my miner triggers a rockfall he has to go time out for an hour, when node scouting this is obviously fairly frequent, even if I could just log him out in a bed and the healing would continue it'd be an improvement to having to leave him logged in standing in the corner, ideally though I'd like to see some sort of SHP healing item, or perhaps even have certain HHP healing items recover SHP if there's no HHP to restore.

make more mining helmets >>
or learn how to play minesweeper. sure there might be large area of unstable digging but as much tin as you can find... just build a support to go through

if 2hours is really bothersome, have 2-3 mining alts >>

The point is you will not avoid the caving in even with minesweeper techniques when hunting for nodes in the cave systems.
Generally systems that will promote using the alts are able to be improved, I think people do dislike this alt gameplay.

I think this SHP heals seems a reasonable request to me.

SHP heals pretty fast relative to other things in the game I think.

Absolutely... 2 hours of waiting in H&H is like a colibri wing flapping IRL...

If someone have no any work, rather than mining, and can't fill his 2 hours with any other non-risky job, I assume he is already a mining bot... controled by real player, which is even more strange and less effective)

Perhaps food could restore SHP in the amount of ~5% of the energy it replenishes.

Really missing the mark here, I know how to mine thanks.
Mining helmets mitigate damage but when a rock kills the Q120 helmet (which seems exactly as effective as a Q10 one) and takes 180 SHP you're still out of action for a while.

The biggest irritation is remaining logged in for SHP to heal, it makes no sense really. Ideally I'd like to see a method of speeding the process up as well but I'll take whatever I can get.

Healing while offline should definitely happen. Getting healing from food or something I feel would be a bit broken unless it were heavily balanced. Imagine what would happen in combat if someone could just pop some food, or a potion and quickly get all their SHP back.

At worst it'd prolong combat slightly, not really a big issue given the silly state of it currently. But if that's a concern then simply ensure SHP healing is impossible while in combat.
We have a regional resource to heal HHP, surely that's far more of a balance issue than one that heals SHP. I'd say it's a potential secondary use for heartwood leaves or perhaps a balm created from pit clay/guano which are pretty pointless right now.
