Allow melt metal items/objects to get your bars/nugget back.

I would like melting metal cauldrons and anvils with some % and q decrease return...
And yeap, suggested eariler a couple of times...
English is neither my native lang, nor my best side...

I think it would be balanced as long as you only got 50-75% of the metal back. You could make it so that you could not only smelt 'items' in a smelter, but you could also pick up anvils and such, and then right click a the smelter and it would smelt the whole thing over time, sort of like roasting an animal on a campfire.

the anvil is so big and would not fit there would need to be another structure in which you could smelt something like an anvil

An anvil takes what? 5 bars? and its too big to go in something that can hold 25 bars of metal/stone?
I don't dislike the original idea too much. Personally I'd like to seem metal equipment expanded a bit. Requiring molds that you pour metal in to get the shape of a cauldron from for example.

Adventure > destroy to get chunks of metal back with a baseline return and some RNG for additional pieces then use those scraps to smelt them back down

It does not make sense we can not melt the metal back into bars. +1
