Aged Meat, Smoke Meeat, Etc

Postby GenghisKhan44 » Tue Apr 26, 2016 4:14 pm

The ability to build either a meat shed or at least some kind of a meat hanging rack where you can hang it and let it age. Let it turn green at a stage, whence it will need to be trimmed, for less hunger, but more FEP.

Adding the ability to build fires in of doors could turn it into a smokehouse, to smoke meat, which has much the same effect.

CREDITS: I credit Richard, a regular at our parish, for the idea.

Sorry, I meant salt deposits in the sense of something like clay, that you can dig up / mine and use for food. I don't mean the rare localized resource that reduces hunger and in my opinion if something like what I said and the OPs topic were to go through then the localized one could be renamed something else. I think it'd be a much better fit in my opinion and would go well with 'cured meat'

You have me convinced with words ''meat shed.'' Such a thing is too comic sounding to say no to.

Drying racks could be used for the start.
And I would like to be able to bake meat (roast beef).

Drying racks would be good. But you can't place them indoors...

Roast beef also sounds goooooooooood....
Would ground beef for meatloaf be asking too much?
