With the stat cap implementation, the ancestral worship should be re-implemented, imho. The prayer for the str, melee, ua and etc. of our ancestor allows those who lost their characters to have the motivation to play again and not be afraid to lose their characters that much in fights.
To avoid abuses, the buff effect should be capped by the stat caps, as in if you receive 75%-50% of your ancestor with 300 stats, while you have 250 atm, you should get maximum of 330 in stats from the buff. Therefore, those who don't have the interest in grinding the quality of the carrot to 330 would have a motivation to play further and get involved in PvP. Having to always find 40 random items for the shrine also keeps the motivation of the players to keep working on their skill build. Having some spare lp to use for stealth would also be interesting.
In previous worlds inheritance was one of the key reasons why people would still keep playing, after their characters would die.
