Cold Storage and transportation

Postby Morrighan » Mon May 02, 2016 10:55 pm

If we need snow and cold compresses, we need cold storage. I propose that a smaller building composed mainly of stone, half-sunk into the ground could provide a reasonable/realistic cold storage. A stone casket should be sufficient to store snow or cold compresses for transport.

This would be highly implausible and defeat the purpose of the decay mechanic I feel.

Could just slow the decay dramatically if its in a cellar. Sped up decay during day if outside.

I would like there to be some way of storing snow or, as suggested, a slower decay rate when placed somewhere appropriate. It is disappointing that you can not stock up on a trip to the mountains esp if you are some distance from one.

(And also that it's pointless to build a snowman no matter how realistic it is that they melt.)

Would be nice if snowmen lasted a bit longer in general. Could also make it so we can repair them with snow.

Given rare mountain, I think this is good.

This is not only plausible, it is practical. It is also applicable to the style of the game. Cold storage, like cold rooms, caves, root cellars and wells have been utilized for centuries Cold storage would also be an excellent place to keep wine and beer, perhaps even having an extra buff for being cool and refreshing.

It isn't practical.
