Personal claim: declaim

Postby Qeeet » Sun May 08, 2016 11:36 am

Current state (as far as I know it): after declaim everything is lost, new claim costs 4000 lp.
How about this?: after declaim amount of tiles are used are saved, new claim costs 4000 lp and that about of saved tiles can be used without lp cost (or reduced?).

Why I would like to see it in the game: as I started playing, I settled on where I spawned; already used like 16 000 lp for tiles, I choose quite bad location and would like to move, but spending 20 000 lp for me is a big deal, since I will take almost 2 days only to refill these lp.

yes, considering I am not new to HnH, I played w7 a lot, your statement is correct. That is my fault.
But what if I were noob...? The noob just didn't know that that decision is crucial for him.

The game shouldnt be about using everything the most effective way in the phase of grinding anyways. Discovering what the game offers, not hesitating to sacrifice some lp, items maybe even a character is what J-Lo mainly wants i guess. But that isnt fun to play is it?

You are partially right.
But here is a point. This change of declaiming will not affect advanced players or bot users or grinders anyway. But can affect all noob players, who decide to move.

AFAIK, if you don't have a claim yet the first one is free, even if you had a claim and declaimed it.

Even though it won't lead to those humongous "LP vaults" of claimed empty land, it'll make it so you can basically pick up your claim, pay a small fee and move. While it will definitely make the game easier for new players, i highly doubt it will ever be implemented - first of all because of all the hidden exploits this could bring, second - because this game isn't really about being newbie-friendly >.<

Thanks for correcting me.

I don't see any exploit here. The exploits are the same as are now, if any. What is preventing grinders/advanced players (those guys who anyway have a lot lp) from making a new character and use personal claim as if a noob would reuse it? - no difference.

That's why I said "hidden". Any claim manipulations tend to have a lot of weak spots that way. And who could think that the ability to lift a chair would be a fatal exploit that made shit really hit the fan a while back =)
