Bonfire Ash

Postby DaniAngione » Wed May 18, 2016 12:05 am

Could we get some ashes from the bonfire after it's finished burning? With a nice looking pile just like the Tar Kiln has that ash/coal pile?

It just feels a bit awkward that we're burning all that wood and it suddenly disappears and the bonfire is empty and shiny, ready for more :P

Also, it would be a nice source of ash since using firebrands is annoyingly slow and intentionally baking bread and burning it is just stupid :P

If it works, will this be stupid?

I think you can burn bone in kiln for ash too.

Yes, it is a different type of ash, though - bone ash.

I meant stupid as in.... makes no sense to have to make dough and burn it to make something as simple as ash if I could just burn some wood :D

You can not use bone ash as ash for crafting?

You right click and crumble the bone ash, and it turns into regular ash.

This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

You can also put a firebrand into you inventory to make ash, but it's not the quickest method ¦]
