Map Expansion?

Are there any plans in the near-foreseeable future of World 9 to expand the map?

i think they will reset the world after they finally finish the object controlled objects stuff but thats only my bet lel :oops:

They'll more than likely add a bit more than that and make some drastic changes. But it wont be for a while I imagine, although currently in "dying mode" the world is probably still generating some fat dollaz.

Better not reset the world. You know, some of us only play for a little bit at a time outside of our careers and are still working our way up.

not even suggesting a world reset myself, as I myself only play an hour or 2 a day. And am most certainly a SLOW advancer (most base attributes in to mid 50's) and don't get me started on my abysmal Abilities scores lol, But such is the life of a lazy hermit.

I vote for map expansion through reset. It's a tired world out there and I'd love to start anew in team with friends i've found in world 9. But alas, I don't think we'll have a reset, not until the new combat system and the notorious floating point coordinates are implemented and (hopefully) licked to perfection through and through.

That the world grows old and stale in a couple of months strikes me as a design flaw that a reset doesn't really fix.

Hmmm, I see the conundrum the Dev's may have on map expansion, while I may feel like I have "seen the world" and crave more to see, there is also the issue of social interaction, to large a world such as in w8 and you run the chance of having too little for those that enjoy the PvP/Conquest aspects of the game, and commerce, especially with the unwillingness to travel great distances with "currency". Too small of a world and you get what some consider TOO much social interaction, which means that there is no place for the peaceful to live since over crowding most assuredly leads to conflict.

It is decisions like this that ensure I never have any envy issues of what Our Dev's go through.

Jorb, Loftar, I see a butt load of complaints on what you guys do "wrong" However I hope you realize that there are also those of us that appreciate your effort each and every time. (even if it is irritating at times, at least you are consistently moving the World of Haven and Hearth rather than letting it stagnate.

I agree that it would be a design flaw even though this game has had some of the most meaningful exploration ive seen in a game in a long time i really think you guys should reduce the randomness of finding things and instead do something that is more deliberate to me the randomness makes exploring more dull doing something you guys may want to consider doing some sort of tracking system where you have to track down whatever resource you are looking for you could use a similar system to the crime scents where youd follow a scent of the resource youre looking for and then eventually youd be rewarded with a larger amount of that resource you could make the resource tracking like a puzzle or something or make random events happen during the tracking so as to make it more difficult i could go into more detail if you want but my real goal is to inspire some development on the scavenging and hunting systems
longer waits + bigger payoffs = meaningful interaction
