Why don't you advertise

I understand money is of an issue, but I am sure some youtubers or small website, would see this games potential, and be happy to advertise for little to nothing. The fanbase of H&H has been shrinking, and advertisement would bring more people to play.

I personally enjoy the small fanbase. yes, i know that j&l probably deserve a lot more credit/attention, but imagine what it would be like with a lot of players. The world will get crammed with people, the server will be even more laggy, the world will have most likely have to be reset to a larger world, etc. there are only 2 devs and it would probably be a lot to handle for them. honestly, it comes down to the devs' decision/view of the game's future of what they want to do

Majority of people would play it for some time and then quit.

ALSO Jorb and loftar have said that they dont want to advertise their game like ever. And that "People will find it eventually if its good enough"

Only once chance of first impression. Game is maybe not in state for not niche player. Niche player does not likely care for advertise. Better to get game in appealing state before steps of advertise.

If player sees advert for game, gets interested and is then immediately killed by some laughing maniac poland dhelmer. He will not come back.

Before we move to steam greenlights and advertising the game should be in state when its playable, right now there is no endgame and pvp so most of the players that have potential to become good players that would stay for longer would quit after getting good cuz there is nothing to do.

Just google Haven & Hearth. You can see this game has had quite a few reviews and advertisements through the years. Your real problem is letting the players know the game has changed and these old reviews and hate threads about it being P2P needlessly are no longer accurate. They might just be better off with a new name, or possibly an amendment to the name to show it is different.

Advertising for this game would be very difficult as things are today.
