Could we maybe have a way to hold someone prisoner? We already have locks and stuff, maybe it would be cool if maybe we could carry unconscious people and put them in a locked house or just a walled off space or something? Like, we'd have to drop them once they woke up, and we could just knock them out again to keep carrying them, but they might have a small chance to escape once they wake up, if there's some kinda brief invulnerability (or at least "won't pass out again") window.
To actually hold them prisoner, there could be a way to put a debuff on them that prevents them from hearthing for about a day or two. To prevent obnoxious exploitation, this would be hard to do in the first place, and there'd be some kind of cooldown period on the person who got hit with it, so it couldn't be renewed the second it wore off.
I don't believe I've actually reached endgame yet, so I'm not sure, but maybe this would add a layer of strategy in fights between developed villages? Like you could hold people for ransom or as a hostage, or it could be a way to prevent a village from producing things it needs if you took their miner or hunter or something.
I'm sure this idea has a ton of flaws that I'm totally overlooking so feel free to point them out and hopefully offer ways to smooth them over.
