A religious system.

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

A religious system.

NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOO!!! I am not talking about the belief sliders those were to op i am talking about something else. Like lets say you had a farmer you could pray to a god of farming for farming buffs BUT!! If you did that you lose standing with the other gods so like lets say you went with the war god you couldn't just switch to another at your own convenience cuase you've lost standing with the others and lets say that "standing" just determines how likely they are to give you a buff. So lets say you prayed to the mining god once. You are very UNLIKELY to get any kind of help at all but its still viable that the other gods might still except you. Now lets say you prayed to the mining god like 50 times then you have a very high chance of getting a buff but at that point you are committed and could never switch back. Also lets say you can only pray like once a day.

Plz feel free to be critical about my this idea and me and my very being and feel free to insult away i want to hear everyone's honest opinion.

That would make it all but impossible to be a jack-of-all-trades hermit, arguably a good thing for the game overall, in terms of players interactions and developement of communities. I, personally, would hate to see it ingame, though, because I like to make my own bread as much as forge my own sword.

True you would probably have to alt spam in order to be a hermit and that would be lame sooo hmmm. Maybe make it so that people who don't go into any religious system (probably hermits) Won't get any bonus from the gods but will get a LP bonus or something like that. I feel like that would balance things and would make people spend time deciding wether its worth it to pray at all or not.

No belief sliders were to easy to change back. Like basically always go full change till you have reached cap then switch back so that you lose like nothing when you die. That's way too easy a change needs to be more permanent and not something you can exploit. Also yes this is probably the wierdest thing i have said on this forum but so what. Weird doesn't always imply bad. I think this could work if implemented correctly.

Still its too exploitable i would much prefer something thats more permanent. Belief sliders were just too OP and i am happy jorb didn't reimplement them.
