I was thinking about how tents could work in Haven & Hearth, and came across this thread:

Even without the different types of tents mentioned therein, there should definitely be a structure that is capable of being moved from its initial location. Here's what I had in mind:
Tent is crafted using some combination of tree boughs and cloth. The item is 3x5. If right-clicked on the ground as if to make a stockpile, a tent appears and follows the cursor identically to the behavior of placing a construction site. Placing the tent will create a 5x5 area covered by stakes and a tarp, on a claim that is 8x5 (3 tiles extend past the tent door). This claim gives the player a temporary bond item that cannot be removed from their study report, and a player can only have one such bond at a time. The tarp's flower menu provides an option to Raise Tent, which will take some time and stamina to convert it into a functional tent. The tent can be collapsed in a similar fashion, so long as the tent is empty. The tent and tarp have flower menu options to Manage Claim, giving the player that placed the tent the ability to change kin permissions. These permissions carry over to all subsequent tents the player places until they are changed.
Tents should be added, at the very least making possible something like this. Players on a long journey could set up a temporary shelter, armies away from home could create interior space, and players with no permanent residence could adopt a nomadic playstyle. Possibly with the help of some other portable structures such as bedrolls, this feature could easily add an entirely new dimension of possibility to the game.
