::Warning wall of text kinda, sorry:: mainly just some feedback for jorb/lofty, on how I feel about the game, the last year or so.
Not sure If I've brought this up before but I was thinking last night about the game and wanting to play again (been about a year since I've played). Had some thoughts about the game and its state I wanted to share.
Just some "quick" (was quick at first but then my brain ran amuck) feedback, I'm not a big fan of the new (new to me kinda) natural resources, such as brimstone and icicle things. They seem out of place for the game and make it "cheesy" in a negative way (imo). The fact that they play too big a role in the game mechanics is an issue I belive for the smaller groups / hermits. Something like brimstone and icicles should only be a small perk to come across. Not a vital part to the game mechanics. That's how I see it anyway, as of 6 months ago when I played last, it had that feeling. Like you were "missing out" (insert sad face gif) or you had to join a big faction to experience/enjoy some of the content. It's not a huge deal, I could of course play just fine without it but it sucks to have that feeling/notion in the back of my head you know? I'm mainly thinking of when I read that brimstone had to do with village defense mechanics which I thought uh oh... that sounds too impactful for being a random lucky resource node. Maybe things are different now, sorry if they are and this is irrelevent, but maybe the general feeling I'm trying to describe can carry over into other elements of the game (at least how you/we look at the game). Or maybe this is ill explained and a waste of a read sorry if that is the case lol.
I liked Legacy hnh for its simplicity, I remember when salem came out and things got way to complicated with the food and different colors for quality... It just gave me a headache, I usually play games to chill and have fun. I don't want my brain to have to be working too hard lol. Overall though I love the game and always will, I've praised you guys enough I think over the years haha. Glad to see ya'll still working on it. The last few updates look great. Hopefully siege and combat will be in a good place where everyone is somewhat happy (as if that could be possible xD) K well have a good rest of the summer and I'll see ya around.
ps: Also I know its bad to talk about new worlds and such but I was hoping to see a wipe soon. I've got some friends interested, it would also be nice to see some new life breathed into the game aswell. Although I know that has alot to do with your dev schedule and what you have planned to implement/fix, just wanted to bring it up, as it was on my mind (and I'm sure some others too).
