Localized Resources and Claiming

Postby Massa » Mon Aug 08, 2016 4:08 pm

Simple suggestion:

Localized resources should not be claimable. Jorb's good at cheesing bogus excuses for things, and this could be that the forces of nature do not bend to man's law, or something.
If you do want to claim or have access to it, while severing scrub's access to these resources, build a proper wall around it. Make it take effort, rather than some slap-stick effortless claim on every useful resource on the planet.

tl;dr no claiming you gotta build a wall

you coudl claim them early world, but they made that you can't claim them later in the world.
But you still can build village claims on them, so why don't they make that they are not vclaimable either?
There was a wise soviet conscript that was surrounded by the enemy on the battle of Stalingrad. A mortar shot teared his pants apart causing a big hole in his pants right on his right butt cheek. He felt a glorious cold ass breeze of wind on his butt cheek, like it would be sent by stalin himself, he said - hide your butts

even if it isn't claimable (if they prevent village claims as well). having a simple wall will stop people as well. u dont need a claim, just build a wall with a door, and its yours.

There's a thing, called a ram, and it breaks walls, very quickly, especially w/o claim.
And for poorfags Wrecking Ball.

I support the non claiming of nat resources like brim and icicles, at least if a wall is used it will decay when that player stops playing or gets too busy to remember. It would give the little guys more of a chance to get their hands on them.

Can we also get the "no village claim" on them too Jorby pls?
Ohhh that's how I make a sig, cool

Then you'll most likely see village claims just next to them, with 4 additional banners forming a pocket of unclaimed space.
Bottom line: a claimed wall around them, maybe a bit bigger as today but still...
