dry, raw wood

Think wood in the game must be more various. Little bit stupid put in a fire a tree that have been chopped just now.
Some of branches take from a tree must be dry, some raw. Blocks always raw, except mirkwood, boards always raw. (as in salem but without stupid drying system)
You can't do some crafts with raw wood. You cant put raw wood in fire.
Wood, placed outside becames dry in few days. Wood, placed near any source of heat. Wood, placed inside becomes mirky. Wood, placed directly in fireplace becomes a fire!

What for? What depth does it add to the gameplay?

"muh realism"
This game doesn't need realism, I understand what you are coming from, as this is a survival game, but is it really necessary and/or entertaining having to wait for wood to dry?
Suck me good and hard thru my jorts

My guy this idea is just terrible in every sense. It wasn't good in Salem and it hasn't magically become good in the time since.

Against everything except for a way to get mirkwood logs or blocks somehow. I don't think sticking them into a house would be the way to do that. I could see logs left in swamps turning into mirkwood logs. Or perhaps a way to put mushrooms on them, and after a few days they become mirky.

I could see an item that could if you let the wood dry in it, make the wood easier to light...... but idk if that is really needed. Plus hearthmagic now kind of makes even this idea mute/ Let alone the few other things going on.
