You should add gas that kills tamed animals.
I haave problem with having too much cattle.
Some simple gas that could be used for AOE effect that would kill animals.

Without gas what use is a gas chamber. Although more variety of buildings would be cool.

I don't think it's really the slaughtering that is a big deal so much as having to do that plus having to butcher them up right after since they'll take ages to decay. Being able to destroy animal corpse would help significantly.
