Its just not ridiculously high anymore, and you don't have to make a staggering 48 of them to get you through a single day of studying. That is if you are able to autostudy, and keep up the experience for that much drain.
I tried to keep up with mirkwoods for a month and it just sucked more fun from the game for me. You really enjoyed going out every day or two to make a ton of those things? We stopped hunting for meat, and started hunting for entrails. It was bad, a large portion of my playtime should not revolve around spamming a single curiosity. My daily cycle turned into getting on to hunt for experience, then collect mirkwood logs, then hunt for entrails, then plant more bushes for future seeds for mirkwoods. I was playing mirkwood simulator, not haven. I don't think I was the only one like this either. Mirkwoods make for a toxic experience, and I am happy with the way they are now.

Other example is when bonfire was nerf, people complain about this one mid world too.
If jorb and loftar can only make balance change during new world, development would be even more slow than is now. This is game in ''alpha'' status.
