Hedgehog Gloves?

After getting some hedgehogs today, I suddenly had this thought, why not have gloves made out of hedgehog skins, they would reduce the damage you get when picking up a hedgehog.

Simler to leather gloves but made with Hedgehog skins and quills as components.

Idea:
Low-q UA weapon, Hedgehog gloves, little lower than cutthroat knuckles. Cutthroat knuckles buffed to higher damage but lowers attack speed. Glaive (basically One-Handed counterpart to b12) just steel and stuff.
And Great Sword or Claymore to be used by knights. (Knighted by king, only certain amount of knights per kingdom)

Also normal gloves should just stop Hedgehog damage cause they do alot. Better to just kill them than pick up.

Why would the glove be made out of hedgehog skin and not skin from another more practical animal?

How about just adding in a check to see if your character is wearing gloves to prevent or reduce damage from quills, when picking up a hedgehog and also when flaying said critter, dependent upon what type gloves one has equipt. ?

Ya that would work better, kind was thinking of that from the start. But went more cute with it just cause.
