As I was pruning my grove, I was thinking to myself: why is tree stunting a thing? Crops don't stunt and are significantly easier to manage. Trees and bushes on the other hand require you to have located high quality clay, soil and water. The water and soil also being necessary to regularly acquire more. Not only do they require more investment in creation, they take longer to produce than any non-trellis crop, assuming you have the suitable forest biome in the area you're planting, which can take weeks to fill in. Another kicker is that if your non-nut/berry tree stunts at almost any point you lose everything receiving poor quality wood and no seeds at all. Losing a top-notch seed when you only get two seeds per tree can be rather lame.
Not to mention that clearing old trees out takes an age and a healthy chunk of your energy bar.
Perhaps upon achieving Druidic Rite the success rate could become 100%? Or maybe we could have another tier skill for the 100%?
p.s.
This isn't asking for stunting crops. Don't even consider it.
