Hearth Magic: Star Metal

The basic idea with this hearth magic is like the ancestry in which you could get a nugget of any common metal. In fact it could do that still.... but to make it special I was thinking of it giving a Nugget of Nickle Iron, prized for swords and so on..... some of the best metals are made from meteorite nickle-iron.

So being able to summon some threw magic would be cool. I doubt it would be a cheap thing to use either.

An interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it would really have a place in Hafen.

I'm not sure about making it a hearth magic, but the idea of meteorite iron is really interesting. Would it be possible to make a random event of a meteorite appearing as like a one use resource? it would start with everything getting really bright, then an exp event would occur for everyone in the bright zone then a meteorite iron boulder would appear in the middle of a patch of dead grass and knocked over trees. the meteorite boulder would require very high strength stat to mine but the material mined would be used for really valuable items, curios, weapons and armor, meaning that large factions would be constantly hunting for these meteorites.
Also add a cooldown of 8 to 24 real hours where touching the meteorite will cause the player to suffer some kind of severe burning injury. That way we can have a short amount of time where people can actually fight over the meteorite, or try and build some defences around it.

A very good idea... but everything will be reduced to the fact that meteorite iron will be in the same people, and the forum will have themes with crying. So the first idea impresses me more. In my opinion, the best option, when anything can get absolutely any person, but with great difficulty.

Remove the high strength requirement and just make it take longer to mine if low str, so if a bunch of sprucecaps fought they'd be able to dent the thing. Also nice trade commodity if it gives a lot from one drop.

anyway I think using magic to summon metal would just make Haven more grindy if the metal is actually useful
