Kingdoms Idea: Regions

It would be nice if the kingdoms would have more reasons to fight with each other over certain regions + make sure that the regions would be densely populated as well.

I suggest to generate special objects of power (World Tree, Ring of Brodgar Stonehenge, Statues of Jorb and Loftar and etc.) all around the map. The objects should grant significant boost in stats and multiply the buff of the kingdom, that covers the sacred area. Such areas would encourage noobs to settle nearby + create reasons for the factions to aim to overtake the place, rather than attempt to ruin it and harass the people living in the area.

Or kingdom resource nodes, harvestble items in greater quantity, and can only be harvested when captured by a kingdom. 8-)

I was thinking about a similar idea that could be a nice addition to this, it'd be cool if Kingdoms were given some random buff upon creation so each Kingdom starts out with at least something that might be worthwhile.

I like the idea.
Make sure nobody can lock down all the resources. Otherwise people wont bother to hang around.

Erm, I do not really like the idea of relics and how the kingdoms can dictate the regions.
Much better and real-world like if certain areas would have the buffs.

Sure, but this is just detail. Concept of ''some thing for kingdom to contest for bonus'' is the same for each of this. I think some discussing there is relevant to this suggesting too.

I'm up for any further development on kingdoms.
Having unique territorial features would be awesome. However kingdoms could also benefit from current localised resources - for example, salt nodes giving +1 cooking, chasms giving +1 stealth and so on.
After the hearthfire change, there's little to no reason to claim natural resources with your kingdom. Having a small buff from them would give more purpose to expanding your kingdom further from big towns with HFs.
