The "Scooper"

Postby jordancoles » Fri Sep 23, 2016 2:57 am

Could we get a new tool that would be moved around like a plow or a wheelbarrow and could "scoop" up items of a similar type off of the ground as you push the tool over top of them?

For example, I have a fuckton of beet leaves on the ground. I push this magical device over the tiles and it collects the items, adding them into a stockpile within the device. When the stockpile is full, I would right click the ground tile to dump it out in one large stockpile.

This would be best used for bulk harvesting crops, for collecting mined ore, and for feeding animals efficiently after a harvest.

Currently you harvest your crops, pick up inventories of the harvested items from the floor, replant, and then continue to pick up inventory after inventory of feed. You store them in stockpiles, then then trough it all.

The chores of haven become tedious and clicky very quickly; this tool would help with that.

Amount of clicks, time taken, reduction of tedium
