Bond of Blood should point to claim

Postby ricky » Fri Oct 21, 2016 8:30 pm

So i found a claim in a pile of beach trash and i stuck it into my mentory to claim it.
unfortunately, I seriously doubt i'll ever find this claim.

it would be neato if bonds acted as radars/homing beacons which led you to their claim, perhaps the way rustroot/dowsing rods work or maybe how quest markers work.

Reasonable. Take it into the hand and it'll ping similar to dowsing rod, could even consume some XP (SMALL amount).

No I don't think so. Just because a deed to a piece of property show up in a bottle on a beach does not mean you know where it is or you have rights to it.

Study it on an alt, than kill the alt and have him spawn on the claim. :geek:

When I had ended up spawning on a claim after death, I just inherited and my old hf was bashed (in stick form). So just repeat those steps I guess.

So I guess it prioritizes old hearthfire spots first, then claims, then wilderness.

I would expect it to be an old unused claim anyway tbh. I've had temporary claims and claim bonds from abandoned places and I just throw them in the water along with old keys. I name all mine, if it has a name on it you could post it and maybe someone will respond to tell you what it is or even where it is. :)

Oh, and yeah I agree with LadyV, if you have been raided and robbed or drowned it's bad enough having to recover without some random fishing up your claim and giving you more problems. Not all players will be aware you can renew it at the claim stick, or may not yet have the lp to do so.

Will discuss this with loftar, at the very least.
