More sketch colors

New player. Found out about sketchbooks, bought a bunch and wasted some finding out they don't look very similar to the preview. Please add more colors so I can have my quality waifu portraits all over the house.

You are right, paintings cost real money, but Jorbtar won't let them have a more decent look because "FU, players who pay me." And it was requested repeatedly over the years by lots of people, still Jorbtar do not want to, period.

And this is why we can't have nice things. Would you rather have more colors, or for actual custom built housing? The system works as intended.

Check out the guides floating around. Sorry, I don't have a link handy at the moment. PM me and give me a bit of time and I might be able to dig one out for you. It's not something I mess with, though. (Check How Do I and The Wizards' Tower for tools and guides.) Not really an intended use of the system, though. It's for a heraldic system for basic designs used during the iron ages to middle ages. People do come up with some really good designs, though.

You can make decent looking stuff for free if you know what you're doing. The main issue I've run into is that there's no grey, beige or brown so everything that uses those colors looks wrong. Take these pictures for example:


Jorb looks like he smeared food all over his chin because there's no way to properly paint his brown facial hair on his beige face.

Being able to mix colors would be best but if that would be a lot of work to code, why not start by adding just a few? Check out what the current system does to skin:

It's not a lot of work to code I am sure. The "hardest" part is maybe to decide which pigments would you need and which amounts, but that is really not that important. Could just be closest color or something.

Here's my suggestion: add lighter and darker versions of existing pigments and add grey.

Shubla's idea is better but if it's too complicated for the devs to code, this seems like a good alternative.

Come on devs, recently I have seen many sketches that look just terrrible because of the limited colors.
Especially now, as you have added things like wallpaper and painting frame, there is no any point in limiting amount of available colors at all!
