Changing the mechanics of making tea

Postby SacreDoom » Sat Nov 05, 2016 1:43 am

As it is right now, making tea in any amount larger than one pot is a massive pain.

I propose therefore that instead of making tea as we do now, with a crafting recipe, rather one of two things could be done instead:

1. simply adding tea leaves to the cauldron's inventory and waiting for the water in the cauldron to turn to tea over time, perhaps having a required minimum of leaves dependent upon the amount of water in the cauldron.

2. Having us be able to hang teapots from roasting spits over fireplaces, increasing the amount of liquid a teapot can hold, and giving it some sort of inventory for the leaves, and let the tea brew passively over time, in larger amounts to compensate for the wait compared to the current method.

Personally I think either would be superior compared to how it works now.

Tea gives...better stamina regen right? Cold drinks and tea would be nice. Craft tea with ice.

no, tea is only better than water if the tea quality is better, and it's hot, and you drink it from a proper vessel. it's really just useful for satiation reduction now, so i don't really see why you would need to make more than a few pots at a time anyway.

It'd still be nice to be able to prep a whole barrel of it similar to wine, beer and milk.

Is tea better at resetting satiations when it's hot? You can't re-heat tea?

It has an effective +20q when hot, so yes. And no, once tea is cooled down, you can't reheat it.
