Disclaimer:
This is not something which is currently crying to be implemented, so will fit a niche of future developments and new stuff.. given jorb & loftar will like the idea. Heh.
Name: Village census
Purpose:
- To give Realm villagers some reliable means of letting their realm militia about the fact that they belong to the kingdom.
- Enhance ‘realm – citizen’ interactions
Brief description:
- A village Lawspeaker can create a parchment with list of the villagers whom he wants to be known to the crown that they belong to his village (by personally meeting with villagers or through his kin list)
- A realm representative (with proper rights) can take said parchment and apply it to coronation stone thus adding the information to the system or overwriting! The existing one from the same village if that exists. Parchment is consumed in the process.
- To the realm representative added information only reveals the village name and allows to assign it to color group.
- Since added all the realm village citizens will see added characters as incognito name “ (Realm) villager”, painted to assigned color. Personal relationship supersedes the realm’s.
- A pile of other rules\regulations\belongings not included yet as they only matter is idea is picked up.
Conclusion:
System..
- .. still allows other random encounters with ‘unknown’ players, be that an intruder, a guest or a new villager who didn’t get listed.
- .. motivates Lawspeakers to keep their head count actual as villagers who won’t get into fresh charter – will lose their status.
- .. gives realm owners some sort of picture about their realm and given the ‘last updated’ criteria - even more detailed.
- .. and it still allows for Lawspeakers to have ‘unlisted’ or let’s say ‘of unknown origin’ villagers.. which are included in the charter…
Please, criticize. I hope we can enhance the idea.
