What if Haven had a cap of around 100 in stats and skills

Would it keep high population? Since people after 3 weeks would still feel that even if they died and their outpost was destroyed they can start again and still keep up to everyone... Would it be more dynamic since people wouldn't be afraid so much of losing their character?

Hmm well hermits would have 1 character or 2 and good villages many alts..

There was a cap of 300, it did nothing but start to kill the game as people reached the stat cap. Why play if all the work on food you spent is worth nothing?

I think it would be a fun experiment, seeing how some animals would get hard to kill without group (if combat AI worked as intended and cheesing/cheating isn't a thing).

and with 100 cap combat alt made in one day would be interessting, but then ppl need to realize that alts is game mechanic and everyone MUST use them to get extra lifes lol

A lot of work needs to be put in before such a low cap can be considered. Simply not worth.

I don't think the 300 cap achieved anything it was supposed to have so I don't imagine a lower cap would make the game better either.

TLDR: They tried stat caps already and it didn't work.

Also suggestions subforum is where this should have been made.

Pretty much this, the only content the game currently has once you build walls is the quality grind.

Take that away and you honestly have a pretty barebones game.

oh no i dont want my character split into million other characters, but maybe it could be good idea if we think about stronger creatures such as trolls and mammoths? ¦]

I think the experiment didn't run long enough.
Bad thing I see that without a cap the permadeath basically enforces crafter/farmer/miner/fighter alting.

Also suggestions subforum is where this should have been made.
