2. You can draw a map for it using pigments & imagery
3. Anyone can read a map to know this charterstone.

Sounds bad.

Put the charterstone behind a wall so non-villagers get visitor. You should be doing this already.

With this we would nearly be back at legacy crossroads, which were removed for a reason (which may not be popular in some circles, but they are valid).

- Charisma stats, rare of charisma gilds are pretty good to make jumps not so easy.
- Its harder to reestablish travel weariness now.
- You can always close charterstone for travel into.
So, any thing, that can make trading&communicating easier is good idea, imo.
