Potato and salt

Postby OokiCookie » Thu Dec 01, 2016 7:22 am

Hi there!
I think we should have a potato in H&H! My russian soul needs it!
And there is a great idea to have a salt in game too. It may be digged in salt lakes or mined in the cave, I think. Also salt had a great barter value in middle ages, so it would be useful, I think.
Aaaaand the most interesting part: there are could be a lot of new recipes, using this two products.

Potatoes weren't introduced to europe before 1550 AD, and started to get cultivated widely in Russia only about 170 years ago.
Not saying that this game is 100% historically correct, with olive trees growing in northern-europe climate, but still.

The salt is already in the game, look for the small salt basin pools. It's not used in cooking (which was suggested numerous times as a preservative). Instead it lowers your hunger, increasing the amount of FEP you gain.

Salt is already in the game, it is used to reduce your hunger and is quite valuable. It's found in rare salt crystals that respawn on a long multi-day timer.
Po-tay-toes!
Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew!

Haven & Hearth is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) set in a fictional world loosely inspired by Slavic and Germanic myth and legend.

Actually abundant american plant cultures in the game could be explained by the fact that vikings had colonies in north america and traded with native people.
Also, you guys are very mean and make my e-peen shrivel :(
