Soap & Infections

Add soap and infections.
Wounds, especially deep ones would have to be cleaned with soap and water in order not to get infected.
Soap would be made from lye and lard. Lard would come from pigs.
Lye would be made from ash that would be made from wood somehow. This ash would then be processed to lye.
Lye and lard would be combined to soap.

Soap could also be used as a curio.

Maybe add dirtiness that would decrease learning point gaining efficieny. And soap could be used to wash it away.

+1, if infections can only do so much damage and no more. Doesn't mean it can't be deadly, but I only mean a single deep cut should not cause me to die. Several might. Gore should. But small wounds shouldn't.

this isnt true people die all the time form infections that started as minor scratches all the time. an infection can start through any break in the skin. Bacteria such as Klebsiella, Clostridium, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Aeromonas hydrophila are the most common and deadly infection types and are even known to cause Necrotizing fasciitis (NF), commonly known as flesh-eating disease.
