how about coloring a cow if milkable as this?:

from left to right: non milkable cow, milkable cow

How would that help to tell them visually from non-producing cows?
Because if you need to open their stats to see their names, you might as well click them with a waterflask and tell it that way. Saves you time running to each cow.
