Something for the Store, Building Redesign

So, as I was looking over my horrid looking windmill while discussing the Painting for our Knarr with my village, I had an interesting thought. We're willing to pay for a neat looking sketch to slap on our knarr, something purely visual with no gameplay impact at all, just to have something nice looking. Why couldn't we do something similar for our buildings?

If there was an Item we could buy for a few dollars that would let us swap out the materials on an existing building, I'd snap that up in a heartbeat. I'd really rather not tear down the mill just to change it's appearance, and I'm sure theres other buildings that people have second thoughts on all over the world.

Could be rather easy to put in, just give us a little item, let us right click on the building with it to pop up a menu. The menu could show Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, etc. material types, let us pick one from a dropdown with a in-world preview, and then let us apply to change it. I'd redo my whole village with these if given the chance. (Except the Basalt Tower.) Hopefully it'd be a good income source for the game as well.

(Side note, if I were swapping materials on the windmill, Porphyry, Basalt, Leather Cloth, and Cherry Wood would be my choices. :D)

it would be a game breaking....H&H is a clever game, that try to teach you that work is required to accomplish everything, no shortcuts are allowed.
Otherwise it will become like every other games where without any effort you can shoot fire balls, kill everything and everyone and so on....having everything at once and now, H&H is not that kind of games, luckily.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

I don't see where you get this idea from... Theres already shortcuts. We can already buy hats that are very detailed and more interesting than any ingame hat. We can already buy sketches that bypass ingame resources completely for their creation. This is less impactful than a sketch, it doesnt change the function of the buildings in *ANY* form, and you still have to build the building in the first place.

Buying cool architecture plans from the store that could be applied to the buildings to change their design and appearance could be cool.
Dont think the devs will do it tho, with their lack of interest in adding hats and other stuff to the store.
«Not cost-effective», they say.

We want to do this, but it's complicated technically.
