Combat - Feels abit awful?

So i tried combat now, after getting some skills

Had 40 UA, 45 STR and 30 AGI and this is the results

Attacking ants, somewhat easy to kill, but keep getting damaged.
Attacking bats, ridicilous easy to kill, didn't take any dmg
Attacking boars, somewhat hard, stupid that it runs away.

Then all this moves and stuff is just overcomplicated. The combat is not fun.
There is nothing fun about the boar running away, or the bats doing no dmg, or that the ants is like "uber"?

Maybe it's the pride of the developers, but this system is just awful, just scrap it for something more simple and easy to understand.

Like

STR - Increase DMG
AGI - Increase Speed
DEX - Increase hitchance
Weapon - Increase dmg on a % base

Then armor gives a % too dmg reduction, and if you going to have animals flee, then atleast slow them down abit.
It works in almost every other game, why try to improve a working concept?

I don't feel like engaging in the combat consider how it is right now, back to just trapping animals between boats, get some distance and cheese em with a bow. And i hope that was not the intention of the DEVS, but it's the system they have created.

For fairness, seems idea is that animal will not be able to be trapped by boat eventually. But I think combat system is mostly designed with PvP in primary focus. And I think PvP player complain a lot about old combat (not that they still do not complain, but they seem to complain less now).

Combat is great, it's the animals that are bullshit.

I dunno. Ever try to kill a wild boar with your bare hands. I'd imagine it isn't easy.

Nah, I mean escaping virtually every time if you don't use exploits or a horse. Boars are actually the least BS, because you can at least catch up with them.

I like this combat system except building IP on your pals in spar mode still needs to be resolved somehow.

Certainly i think hunting it's improved...I like it more than before....I killed ants, bats and foxes....and it's a lot of fun, cause now you don't know if they will flee or fight back, etc...lot of fun and danger if you messed up :) ....btw still too many exploits avaible for my taste, pls fix them.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.
