Add more birds.
Like seagulls.
They could steal from fish stockpile if they sense it.

How about cormorants? Can be tamed and used for fishing.

how about vultures? Spawn on steppes, if your hhp <50% or you have few deep cuts they will agroo you, will eat corpses if left alone for too long leaving only bones and pieces of ravaged hide which is a curio.
