Why is Mansonry the pain in the ass job that sticks it's fingers into every job roll.

Farming cuz you need to make tree planter pots with Masonry and farming
Mining cuz you need Masonry to mine.
Explorering cuz you need to find Clay.

and nodes q35+ are rare as phuk anyway so 35 is all you need right now tbh (well 40 since your tool will softcap the q a bit )

It's a great way to push more people towards using alt characters for dumb shit like lore/masonry. These additional skills are totally unnecessary and they do nothing to make the game any more enjoyablr for anyone. Big factions will be unaffected by this change while hermits and casuals will either waste LP on their main or waste time working on an alt as well.

Masonry removed the insane quality boost of getting mammoth bones, making bone clay, and having a quality 100 kiln within a few days of a new world because stone/clay was not softcapped by any skill.

if people want to solo and alt farm all day, let them, making it so you have to micromanage alts more and more makes it more frustrating, the better thing to do is join a proper village.

Or if that's an issue they could just not have bone clay since it's fucked anyways and completely devalues high q ball/acre clay later on.

Adding arbitrary skills to slow down advancement by tacking them on to things randomly like strength, smithing and masonry to craft a pickaxe is only annoying.

I have metal and I have a minehole and I have walls and I have a village idol don't tell me I need to join a proper village bro I'm fucking in one.

I somewhat agree that caps are out of hands. You cant focus on anything because you need like every skill to do x stuff.

The quality grind will always be that, a quality grind, masonry is just a new skill, though to be honest, I would have rather seen it be rolled together with carpentry into a 'construction' skill, and have mining be affected by smithing, but thats just me.
