Make leftover soil from surveys overflow into adjacent ones

Postby Smoopadoop » Thu Jan 19, 2017 12:54 am

I'm trying to flatten an area for a village, but I can't make surveys bigger than 30x30 for some reason. So I have to make around 15 individual ones (remember, we're capped to 5 per day), and individually match up all of their levels, and calculate how much soil i'll need/be left with, and then I have to dig the ones with too much soil, and then go and fill the ones with not enough soil, then I have to go back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and I want to die.

How about: When you dig soil in a survey where there's too much soil, if there's an adjacent survey without enough soil, it should fill that up.
Edit: Also, fill survey from dirt stockpile, or dropped dirt items.

Filling dirt from a stockpile is apparently a huge pain in the ass to figure out if I remember what loftar said correctly. However,
I like the idea of overflow from one survey filling in adjacent surveys that need it. I wonder if that'd be less of a pain to implement? If so, it'd be even more convenient than the stockpiles idea.

Full on fluid dynamics with XOR switches and everything to program multiple chained surveys to play tic-tac-toe.
