How to make fighters not use 30 alts

Right now the thing that makes alting a good idea (if we ignore stupid mechanics like nidbanes) is the fact that past a point, investing more LP into unarmed would just give you too little stats for too much LP.

The idea:

Exponential combat stats growth (the more LP you invest, the less LP you have to invest to get stronger in combat stats) + a delta cap (Once a character is over x many times stronger than another character, any added difference doesn't do anything)

Sounds like a retarded idea but bear with me.

If the delta cap is implemented then the exponential combat stats growth doesn't do harm.

HOWEVER

to stay actually competitive and/or dominate players would have to invest all their resources into making a single, main character, because as soon as they start splitting resources to alts too, they are already far behind the person who uses 1 main and the delta between them will be capped (negatively for the alt user)

This makes it so you must have only 1 character to stay competitive and relevant in the combat "scene" AND this makes hermits and weak players not-so-crippled, because if they are too weak to get that much combat stats the delta cap is there to prevent them from getting stomped.

you assume making alts will decrease anything from the main.
this is not necessarily true.

plus if the delta is 3, it might be cheaper to make 4 combat chars if they are cheaper to make than the 1 with delta 3.

this could just increase alts as well.

It is true considering that quests are a thing now. If your study desk is filled 24/7 but you do quests a little on one character, a little on the other, a player who does quests constantly on his main would get far better stats with exponential growth.

The only problem being players could spawn 1 UA alts and fight with them - also easily solvable. Make the delta something like "stops growing after 2x more powerful" and make it harder to kill animals. Boom, 1 UA alts would not be strong enough to get moves required to actually fight, and if they could they would still be kinda too weak to make putting equipment on them profitable.

get someone who is extremelly good at melee combat ask his opinion about minumum UA needed to actually handle an animal and set it as minimum, below it your attacks are innefective (few points below they would do 1/2 of openings and damage). That would make hunting mammoth day 1 obsolete and at same time 1 UA chars wouldnt be able to swarm you - since no combat moves

All you need is one developed character and many rage alts to get kills.

Regardless of handicaps you place on them 4 rage alts with 20 ua spamming green punch will always be effective. And if it isnt, you've created a larger power imbalance for new players

Normally I'm all for things that work in favour of casual players but that scenario sounds kind of dumb. Who works on combat alts more, would it be the small villages or the big factions?
