Tar kiln inspect.

Inspecting tar kiln should show you the progress of the coal in % or hours or even better both.
It takes so long I forget when i put the wood in there.

Don't say that. Or devs will add some sort of built-in sticky notes feature instead of inspect on tar kiln (which is a very nice to have thing)!

do you need to know exact time when tar kiln will burn? o.0 when you login and it is not burning it means its done, when its burning then wait some more

Yes then I can plan ahead and prepare to use the coal.
Other villagers get to see the progress too and use metals accordingly. If its still a long while they may want to hold off on making 6 cupboards full of tin flies(this is just an example not a thing that actually happened)

if you cant remember how many days ago you lit tar kiln how do you expect to plan use of coal it requires some memory power, unless you make notes - then make notes of tar kilns too.

Because preparing for the day coal gets ready doesn't take half a week.
You get to see tree growth progress too why not seeing tree death progress.
