Shipwrecks and Boat Wrecks

Postby Adder1234 » Mon Jan 23, 2017 2:48 am

I was talking with some other players and they said that when a knarr or boat is destroyed, it makes a cracking noise and disappears. I'm guessing that their cargo goes into the water and can be fished or gathered from beach trash. I was thinking that instead of this, they become a shipwreck or boat wreck in shallow water somewhere in the world. Preferably, they would be more likely to appear near where they were destroyed and, if possible would have the same colours as they did when they did before they were destroyed. Also, any cargo that they were carrying would still be in the shipwreck. Honestly I'm not even sure if it's possible to do this, but it would definitely make exploring more interesting.

I don't think you'll find many people sinking boats with cargo in them (nobody wants to risk sinking a knarr, no matter how useful whirlpools may be).

What would be cool is if sinking a knarr or a rowboat were to eventually create a wreck on the beach that can be hacked apart with a stone axe by newbs for wood materials and perhaps even metal bars.

1. Add boat has momentum.
2. Add boat with very fast runs into walls and takes damage.
3. Add shipwrecks feature.

Easy.

Could be cool.
