If it was a boost to damage, quality, gilding, or combat weight I'd be most open to ever-decreasing bonuses because that would breed some interesting competition in getting the best-but-only-slightly-better Hirdsman's sword after we reach the highest q metals and stat caps
i.e "I've got the same stats and sword q as you but my .001 extra grievous damage chance gives me that teensy weensy bonus that will allow me to win the fight"
