Relook combat

after having this combat for a while everyone can see how shitty it is.

-you can just spam colors with no penalty
-artful evasion is mad gay
I think attack and defense bars need to be added back and allow us to buy skills for moves, not discover them cause thats MAD GAY. even that card system is better than this stuff

I'm by no means a pvper, but i do have a good bit of experience cheesing in pve in world 9

there should be an all ecompassing "fatigue" meter which each color adds to. this meter should determine damage, not each individual color

When you create 50% opening in one color, you fill the fatigue meter 25%
When you create 100% opening in one color, you fill the fatigue meter 50%
Thus: you must fill all four meters 50% OR 2 meters 100% before you can deal 100% damage.

animals shouldnt deal "at least" 1 HHP damage. 1 SHP damage minimum is fine.

players should start out with at least 1 IP creating move. alternaively, make certain clothes grant (or take away) IP at the beginning of fights

This is the best combat system Haven ever had. Sure, plenty of cards could be rebalanced, but the system itself is solid.

After trying this combat i can see it getting annoying as time goes on, and from what ive seen of people cheesing most animal fights i honestly believe that jorb and loftar should implement collison based combat in this game. They did it in Salem and its done in sooo many other games because it works and it also means that no matter what youll take damage in any fight depending on your gear and gilds, but faster to heal up from.

Please Jorb and loftar have a look at bringing a form of that into this game instead of these deltas and you'll end up hearing less whinging from alot of people because fights become easy to learn and understand, you can add moves easily and not have to balance everything at once. just a small look at adding a similar system and to be frank you designed Salem and that combat was nice for noobs to understand and im not talking about the cancer it is now with darts.

PvE type fight against a deer would be it charging you like they used to and gore you with the antlers and you could either use shield up to absorb the hit or try and dodge it with a roll or use a spear and have a 90% chance to hurt it but 50% chance to get gored as well. The fight would end up being you trying to either minimise the damage or try and dodge it with all the skills you have and say you beat it then chance to learn a better fighting technique hell maybe a charge type and the more you kill them better upgrades of this attack.

PvP type fight, ive seen a few good example where if you meet 2 or more guys you still stand a chance at winning if at equal stats by using your skills and strategy and trying to outwit them and throw in a few stuns or leg sweeps to slow one down while you focus on the other and kite them.

But yeah youve done it before and i think you did a great job there and i believe it would make a great addition here in Haven.

I think the current combat system is pretty good, but the lack of any tutorial can make the system very confusing for a lot of people and getting combat moves is silly atm

being able to spam colors is really stupid, this version leaves no room for fancy stuff and tricks! but yeah i think we should buy skills and get combat moves because im getting sick of killing hundreds of animals and only getting sidestep

Not even close to being true. Old system was irredeemably shit and you know it.

Other things you said I agree with though, getting moves in particular is far too tedious. I know you like the whole move discovery thing jorb, but you seriously cannot leave it as it currently is. Make it so you only need to get a move once and can still set it at 5/5 if you like. I've killed hundreds of animals and my combat deck still is missing some things, and that is just dumb.

ur just a fukn scrub tbh i remember when it 1st came out u were like wow i rlly love this!!! anyways i agree the current combat discovery system is fucking retarded
