Turn hunting exploits into game content

In the form of mild traps, hunting arrows, ranger bow, hunting weapons etc.
For example:

Different arrow recipes would give different effects
Arrow A would result in more severe bleeding
Arrow B would make the animal move slower or something
Or, instead of different arrows, there could be hunting hearth magics with low cost and similar results for ranged hunting. They could be justified as "aiming" moves, as in aiming at legs, head, muzzle etc during a rl hunt.

The ranger bow, as someone already suggested, could be added to the game as a slow-aiming high-damage weapon, with high will and perception requirement to be used properly. Ideally, it would be a weapon useful only for hunting.

The boar spear could be tweaked to become a hunting-only weapon and have the effects of increased bleeding damage or large fish fishing. Maybe it should even have significant bonuses for fighting walruses while swimming (or on boats if water combat can't be done). A proper PvP spear variant should probably be added too.

Hunting knives for faster butchering and animal finishing moves (for example, a PvE combat move that makes finishing fleeing animals easier).

Instead of making these recipes rely on high industry (with the usual steel, silk, hard leather requirements), they could be related to the foraging and forestry way of life. So instead of steel for the ranger bow, the recipe could ask for wood blocks from 12 different trees from distinct biomes; instead of silk, spider web threads; instead of bone glue for the knife, it could ask for a new high perc*exp forageable, or even the tree sap of the thread below this one.

Some interesting ideas here!

The Rangers bow would likely be best represented as a composite bow. Involving the application of different types of wood (as you suggested), a significant quantity of bone glue, silk still makes a bit of sense as the bow string (though I'd never use such in real life), etc.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

Some interesting ideas, but I think most fall under a more general bracket of "make hunting better".
