Archery should be seprated by 2 kinda of bows.
Hunting bow. for hunting
Ranger bows. for pvp.
using the bows for one or the other will reduce damage to nearly noting.
Hunting bows should be made simple again for hunting with just straight damage scaling.
These should not effect animal Q at all.
Perc/Bow+Arrow = damage
Example; perc(20)/bow(q10)=10dmg -aim%(80)=8damage +arrow(q10)= 18dmg.
-ifplayer(95%) playertrue= 0.7dmg
playerfalse= 18dmg
perc(100)/bow(q100)=100dmg -aim%(100)=100dmg +arrow(q100)=100dmg
-ifplayer(95%) playertrue= 5dmg
playerfalse= 100dmg
Damage is only example and does not reflect the real numbers.
Ranger bows should base damage
if used for hunting should also cap quality
q0 = 45 dmg
and every 1q would add 0.5dmg.
100q = 100dmg
200q = 145dmg
Arrows would turn dmg into penetration damage.
q0 = 0pen
every 1q would add 0.075pen dmg.
q100 = 7.5pen
you have both q100 Rbow and q100 arrows.
your rbow does 100dmg. 7.5 of that damage is unblockable.
Damage again is for easy reading and not a good reflection of damage that should be added.
If a player was to use a ranger bow and a battle would last 10 mins. a ranger bow doing 7.5dmg a pop will likely end up doing a fair number of damage. if not killing people to easily. but a low pen number of 3-7 would be ideal.
also take in the fact the ranger will likely be on a horse.
