Sound on traversing stairs/cellar doors

Postby Granger » Wed Feb 08, 2017 8:05 pm

While it's nice to hear that somone uses the stairs or the cellar trapdoor, the sound (closing door) dosn't make really sense for them.
Maybe use a different sound which less tendency to break suspension of disbelief?

For stairs it could be done easily by using the normal walking sound but with adjust the pitch for each of the 2-3 steps 'while on the stairs' a bit to hint someone going up or down (based on the 'normal' pitch when walking the floor). Would enrich buildings a lot, imho.

This is maybe most minor suggesting I have seen suggested so far.

At least it isn't the worst.

No, it is not bad idea. But polishing sounds has to be close to lowest priority I think.

It's the small things that make the difference.

Can't you personally change the sound files anyway? Just get a walking upstairs noise (lol) and replace the Vanilla one ig. Personally I like the sounds of opening and closing.
Suck me good and hard thru my jorts
