Yeah, I know. There's no sun damage or rain, but it will be pretty fun structure.
In the past update, I saw that the bench was added. I think this is similar to that.
I know there are a lot of people in this game who simply love beautiful sight. Including me:)
And if this is not a bad idea, palm tree or coconuts will look good with it.

Picnic table that 6-8 people could sit at (with room for 2 chairs on the ends) would be cool

Multi seat tables would be cool, it's just the matter of how they should work UI-wise.

Give each seat slot an individual inventory for tableware (only accessible when activating that slot) and a shared inventory for the food?
That way you could recycle the table UI 1:1 and only jump through some hoops when it comes to populating the ingame table with decorations.
